Kid-friendly Activities in DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia this Weekend (12/13 - 12/15)
Plenty of holiday fun to explore this weekend and I have some recommendations! This past week we were finally able to visit Light Yards, an annual light display at Yards Park in SW DC. This family-friendly art installation features swinging bells with seats. The best part is it's free to visit! We also stopped by the Children's Science Center LAB in Fairfax, VA for their Winter Wonder Lab, which incorporates wintery themes into science projects and STEM-based activities. The kids created candy cane slime and wrote "Seasons Greetings" with turmeric and electricity. Tickets to the Children's Science Center LAB are $15/person for a two-hour timed entry. My last recommendation is A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theatre! If you haven't seen my review yet, tap the button below for Theatre Performance recommendations. I highly recommend it for older kids and as a great date night. See more tips for seating and age recommendations through the review. And now on to this weekend's events...
