Kid-friendly Activities in DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia this Weekend (2/21 - 2/23)
It's a great weekend to discover art in a new way! A few weeks ago we visited The Art of the Brick, a new LEGO based art exhibit at Bryant Street in NE DC. This exhibit features some interesting builds including a 6-meter-long reproduction of a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, a LEGO safari and replicas of famous works of art like the Mona Lisa and Basquiat's Pez Dispenser (Dinosaur with a Crown). It took Jack and I about an hour to get through the entire exhibit. I turned it into a game where we took turns guessing how many LEGO bricks it took to create each piece. I think the game helped Jack engage a bit more. He was ready to fly through the whole thing upon entry, LOL. At the end of the exhibit, there's a large play area with video games, LEGO pit, gift shop and a large coloring table where you can create your own masterpiece. To see more of our visit, tap the image above. You can also use code 4DMVKIDS10 for 10% off tickets booked during the month of February. The link below leads to the official website where you can book tickets. Note that it's an affiliate link where I earn a commission. Now on to more fun things to get into this weekend...
