Kid-friendly Activities in DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia this Weekend (3/14 - 3/16)

Happy Women's History Month! We kicked off this month's festivities with the DC Mayor's Annual Herstory 5K hosted by the Mayor's Office on Women's Policy and Initiatives. There are so many ways to celebrate women's history this month including visiting the National Museum of Women in Fine Arts or the Mary McLeod Bethune Council House, both in DC. Your local library system might also host events and activities that honor historic figures. I know PG County Memorial Library will host a bunch of story times and other activities throughout the month including a couple this Saturday as listed below. However you celebrate women this month be sure to have the kids in tow to spark inspiration and creativity among them. Happy planning for this weekend!

Just a note about missing last week’s list! We had a family emergency that resulted in a few days at Georgetown hospital 🙁 Everything’s on the up and up now! These past few weeks have been a doozy to say the least. Thank you for hanging in here with me. Bigger, better (& more consistent) things to come! ♥ Also, s/o to the person who hugged me at KID Museum last Sunday. Clearly, I needed it!
