Kid-friendly Activities in DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia this Weekend (3/21 - 3/23)

Liv and her friend Ava pose with their hyacinth craft at the National Museum of Asian Art.
These two made some pretty cool hyacinth vases at Nowruz Family Day
I know Spring is about to touch down when I see Nowruz events pop up! This past Sunday we visited the National Museum of Asian Art for their Nowruz Family Day in honor of Persian New Year. There were performances, story times in Discovery Theater, a bunch of activities like chess and a scavenger hunt. AND tons crafts including Threads of Iran paper dolls, a Hyacinth vase craft hosted by the Iranian Community School of Vienna, VA and a DIY Haft Sin Table creation. It was fun learning about the holiday and taking part in activities that furthered the learning. Up next is of course Cherry Blossom season. Y'all, I've never been to the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms. We pass them every year but the crowds always make me say heck no! LOL If we make it out there this year, you'll be the first to know 🙂 Now on to this weekend's events...
