DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative has facilitated no-cost arts and humanities education programming to DC public schools for over 27 years. Then you are invited to tune in for Our DC, Our Culture: Arts & Culture Mayoral Candidate Forum, a nonpartisan voter education live broadcast on WPFW. Learn about the candidate’s perspectives on the arts and culture ecosystem, art education, funding, and supporting creatives in our city.

Social Art and Culture | Creative Entrepreneur Capital Summit 2026 | May 7
CECS is a one-day summit exploring cultural and financial sustainability under the UN 2030 goal for DMV creative entrepreneurs. Curated in 2019 and 2023, the Summit hosted a sold-out audience hosting 19 expert panelists and 150 creative entrepreneurs attending. In 2026, CECS will continue to develop and offer resources for creative entrepreneurs’ short—and long-term projects, driving economic and technology development, business innovation and planning, and investment opportunities.

Grants, Fellowships & Opportunities
Center for Craft | Teaching Artist Cohort | Due May 4
The Center for Craft’s Teaching Artist Cohort awards $10,000 unrestricted grants to 30 mid-career craft artists who teach, alongside a six-month cohort experience focused on mentorship and peer-to-peer learning. This opportunity supports artists who integrate their creative practice with teaching—whether in classrooms, workshops, museums, or community settings. An application information session will be held on April 15.
DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities | Grants Open | Due May 22
Now Accepting Applications for East Arts (EA) and Projects, Events and Festivals (PEF). Both grant programs encourage progress in the arts and humanities in the District of Columbia by supporting non-profit arts, humanities, arts education, and service organizations. National Art Education Association | Call for Presentation | Due June 30
The 2027 NAEA National Convention is taking place March 4-6, in New York City. NAEA invites YOU to share your expertise, face-to-face, with educators who are committed to NAEA’s mission to “Champion creative growth and innovation by equitably advancing the tools and resources for a high-quality visual arts, design, and media arts education throughout diverse populations and communities of practice.”

Imagination Stage 🎭This is a paid opportunity for six young actors. Imagination Stage’s upcoming winter holiday musical will feature six (6) professional youth performers split across two (2) casts. Each role will cover itself in the opposite cast, so artists must be available for EVERY show. The commitment dates are Oct 26, 2026, to Jan 3, 2027. Roles are open to any non-equity youth performer ages 8 – 14.
